The Out-of-School Art Academy
The Out-of-School Art Academy is a socially-conscious school of learning dedicated to improving literacy in our students' lives and the families who support them. It is designed to give hands-on instruction to students, ages 5-14, and young adults in the areas of the arts and sciences. It specializes in the visual and performing arts, humanities and scientific inquiry; providing learning labs to out- of-school settings in the Triad area of North Carolina.

The International Playhouse is an interactive arena designed to help youth and their families become global-minded leaders.
Global Kids Cafe teaches healty cooking techniqes for the purpose of fighting obesity and disease.
The Walking Stage is a puppet troupe of animated characters designed to help youth articulate.

Viliage Hands Cooperative Craft & Giving Circle is a group of artisans crafting for the purpose of family empowerment.
Team Unity are youth entrepreneurs crafting for the purpose of service in our community.
S.M.A.R.T. Kids Investment Club are youth entrepreneurs crafting for the purpose of financial literacy.
Each of these groups is staffed by dedicated volunteers who care about their heritage. All are interested in creating for purposes that improve the lives of others while using processes that encourage reuse and upcyling principles.

All year long, camps are available that encourage creative movement and thought. Specialized themes help us design your day and provide engaging individual and family fun.
Team building and healthful interaction are the ultimate goals.
